-When possible, school staff shall schedule class parties and celebrations (and the administering of any unhealthy food) after the lunch period.

-Staff shall avoid the use of non-nutritious foods as a reward for students' academic performance, accomplishments, or classroom behavior.

-When celebrating student birthdays, staff shall encourage parents/guardians to provide non-food related items for their child.  All birthday celebrations and clean up must be supervised by a staff member and scheduled after the lunch period.  (*Staff should request prior notice from parents/guardians regarding delivery of celebration items.)

-Staff must limit parties to three per year.  (All grade levels shall schedule the same three parties: Halloween, Valentine's Day, and End of the Year.)
