Thank you for your interest in Shark Fund!  Shark Fund is a 100% parent funded, non profit organization dedicated to providing each student with programs that enhance the quality  of education they receive at Sycamore.  Shark Fund donations consist of parent donations, escrip, corporate match and auction funds raised in partnership with PTA. Donations result in over $250,000 a year.

 

Shark Fund funds the following programs:

• Over 7+ hours of para educator time per classroom per week
• 75% of the librarian salary
• Progressive technology program supporting 21st Century Learning
• Physical Education class for Kindergartners 2 times per week
• Reading and Language intervention programs for grades K-5
• Social development support for grades K-3
• Character Education Specialist to work with students and parents on life skill development
• Curriculum coordination and Staff Development 

 

All parents are welcome to join our meetings.  We meet the second Wednesday of most months. Our meeting dates are listed in the link in the sidebar.  Without parents generous donations and volunteer support all of these programs funded by Shark Fund would not be possible.

 

Sycamore is a distinguished school with API scores in the top 10% in the State of California.  We should all be proud of these accomplishments and of our school.  Thank you again for your support!
