Robert E. Scott Dear Parents, During this time of year as the leaves change their color, the air becomes clear, cool to the feel, and warm to the heart, we should give thanks for the wonderful place we live in. So may I start by thanking you for your friendship, trust, and most of all for the wonderful children you have given to me to work with daily. I have been able to achieve goals and learn about myself more than I ever thought was obtainable. Through your support, I have learned many facets of leadership, curriculum and instruction. Most of all, I have learned the power of love and commitment. Thank you parents for your continuous support of your children, our staff, and each other. You have helped make Sycamore Valley Elementary School a special place for children, staff, and me. I hope you will have time during the next few weeks to share what you are thankful for with your family and friends. We all need to spend more time “encouraging the heart”. Sincerely Yours, Bob Scott Principal ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sycamore's Mission Statement
Principal
Sycamore Valley Elementary School is a safe and caring community where all members grow and learn, nurtured by a sense of teamwork, respect, and trust. We assure basic skills, foster critical thinking and problem solving, and encourage lifelong learning for all members. We provide all learners the best education possible to prepare them to successfully meet future challenges. Our goal is for all students to be at or above standard in all academic areas. Our teachers work collaboratively with grade level partners, in teams and in cross grade level teams when planning curriculum; they design and implement academic and social programs that are consistent throughout their grade level and school. Parents are an essential component of our school. They are encouraged to be actively engaged in helping us to establish and implement our yearly goals.
